Commentary: Social media has a bragging problem
Social media users love to brag about their lives and accomplishments, and that's a problem when you have hundreds of contacts, many of whom you aren't particularly close to, writes Matt McFarland. Analysis: The expansion of social networks affects marketing
The introduction of the messaging capabilities of Instagram Direct is just one example of social media applications becoming more alike as they expand features to create advertising opportunities.
